1. Introduction
Welcome to IncidentFox. By installing or using IncidentFox, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (and the organization you represent) and IncidentFox regarding your use of our AI-powered incident investigation service.
2. Service Description
IncidentFox is an AI-powered incident investigation agent that operates via Slack. The service helps teams investigate production incidents by:
- Analyzing logs, metrics, and system data from connected observability tools
- Searching Slack history for relevant context and past discussions
- Providing autonomous investigation and recommendations
- Generating postmortems and documentation
3. Account Terms
- You must have a Slack workspace to use IncidentFox
- You must be a Slack workspace administrator to install the app
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your integrations and credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use IncidentFox only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the service to violate any laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the service
- Use the service to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Abuse, harass, or harm others using the service
- Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
5. API Usage & LLM Processing
IncidentFox uses third-party AI services to power its investigation capabilities:
- LLM Provider: Anthropic Claude is used for natural language understanding and investigation reasoning
- No Training: Your data is never used to train AI models. Anthropic does not use API data for training purposes.
- Data Processing: Data sent to AI providers is encrypted in transit and subject to their security policies

6. Data & Privacy
IncidentFox collects and processes data as described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- We process Slack messages, observability data, and investigation history to provide the service
- Sensitive information is automatically redacted before AI processing
- You can delete your data at any time by uninstalling or contacting us
7. Subscription & Payment
IncidentFox offers a free trial and paid subscriptions:
- Free Trial: 7 days free with full feature access
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- Refunds: No refunds for partial months, but you can cancel anytime
- Price Changes: We may change pricing with 30 days notice
8. Intellectual Property
IncidentFox owns the service. All rights, title, and interest in the IncidentFox service, including software, documentation, and trademarks, belong to IncidentFox.
You own your data. You retain all rights to your data. We claim no ownership over your Slack messages, logs, metrics, or investigation data. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
IncidentFox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- We are not responsible for service interruptions, data loss, or third-party integrations
- AI-generated recommendations should be reviewed before implementation in production
10. Termination
You may cancel at any time by uninstalling the Slack app or contacting us at jimmy@incidentfox.ai.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.
Data deletion on termination: Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless you request immediate deletion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting a message in your Slack workspace
- Sending an email to workspace administrators
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
